Gerda Liebmann – “Second Day” Oct 9-31
We are proud to present the work of Swiss artist Gerda Liebmann. Liebmann works primarily with encaustics. She also specializes in installation pieces that invite viewers to consider scriptural themes in new ways. For this exhibition titled “Second Day”, Liebmann focuses on the horizon – she says: “The horizon is a line that separates earth from sky, a line that divides this world from the unseen one, vast and infinitely far. A line between memory and hope, touch and dream. Looking at the sea from a shore brings up longings for inner equilibrium. It levels the soul. At the same time it also stimulates thoughts of travel, beckoning faraway lands and adventure – even spiritual ones.”
Please join us for an artist’s reception, Friday, October 9th 6-8pm.
